Objectives
"Toward A Sustainable Growth Strategy: Vietnam Confronts Its Policy Options" will provide participants with a frank, balanced, and constructive perspective on Vietnam’s current policy challenges as well as analysis of the ways in which different policy choices may influence its future development. Accomplishing this objective requires course instructors to possess credibility and experience. Knowledge alone is not sufficient. Knowledge and skills must be explained clearly, without jargon, and credibly by someone willing to answer questions and engage in discussion with officials who often know much more of the complex background than the instructors, if not as much of the theory or cross national experience. In other words, this course will inform and engage the participants as much as to train. The goal is to ensure that participants complete the training course more informed, more thoughtful, and more aware of what their choices mean.
