Toward A Sustainable Growth Strategy: Vietnam Confronts Its Policy Options will be taught by a multidisciplinary team of Vietnamese and foreign scholars and practitioners. It should be emphasized that only with a roster of instructors of this caliber can the training course successfully recruit the right participants. These instructors are highly regarded within Vietnamese policymaking circles for their knowledge of and commitment to Vietnam.

Dr. Adams is an expert on the Vietnamese financial system and will address current issues confronting Vietnam’s banking sector.
David Dapice
Chief Economist Vietnam Program, Kennedy School of Government at Harvard

Dr. Dapice has worked on Vietnam for more then fifteen years; his analyses of Vietnamese economic policy are widely read by Vietnamese policymakers. Dr. Dapice will address public investment.
Phan Chanh Duong

Mr. Duong has recently retired from a distinguished career as a civil servant in the Ho Chi Minh City government. Mr. Duong will address issues related to land and attraction of foreign direct investment (FDI). He will deliver the lecture remotely from Cambridge through video teleconferencing facility.

Anthony Saich

Dr. Saich is a leading authority on Chinese public policy. Dr. Saich will provide an analysis of China’s current economic strategies and identify key trends and issues likely to arise in the coming year. He will deliver the lecture remotely from Cambridge.
All of these instructors are skilled at making high-level presentations, deeply well informed about Vietnam (or China) and able to commit the time needed to prepare materials for their presentations. They will lecture in English, with the exception of Mr. Duong and Dr. Cung. Highly skilled consecutive translation will be provided by bilingual experts who are deeply familiar with the material being discussed. In addition to the core instructors, public and private sector practitioners will be invited to address the participants in a series of working lunches.
