Introduction
"Marketing Places" is one of the most recent executive education initiatives that has been developed and launched since 2000 by the Fulbright Economics Teaching Program at the University of Economics - Ho Chi Minh City.
The course introduces a new approach to local economic development strategies that are formulated with the tools of marketing and on the assumption that one place has to compete with another in order to attract investments, skilled labor, tourists, and markets for its products.
